What if you could enjoy an unobstructed view of the gorgeous Smoky Mountains without the difficult climb? Starting this spring, you’ll be able to do just that, with a ride on Pigeon Forge’s first chairlift. Read on to learn more about this exciting new opportunity, coming soon to the Pigeon Forge area!

Features

The Pigeon Forge Chairlift promises a comfortable and leisurely ride above the Smokies. The attraction will also feature an 85-foot observation tower with expected completion later in 2021. For those looking to get some exercise while enjoying the view, you’ll be able to access the tower from a spiral staircase offering plenty of opportunities to get your daily steps in. While the company hasn’t released all the details on their new ride, nearby Gatlinburg has three chairlifts that have proven extremely popular with visitors. The Gatlinburg Skylift, for instance, takes visitors up to an observation deck where they can enjoy the view or visit a shop. According to concept art released on the company’s Facebook page, the Pigeon Forge Chairlift will include similar features. The chairlift will take guests up 1,800 feet to a large observation deck, where they can enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding Pigeon Forge area. Also located at the top are several stores where visitors can do some souvenir shopping. Both the viewing deck and the observation tower give guests a 360-degree view of the mountains—the ultimate in an immersive experience!

Construction Status

Work is scheduled to begin on this exciting new attraction in early 2021, with expected completion before the end of the year.
