Meet at Rafting in the Smokies’ Family Adventure Island

Choosing a Difficulty
Upriver – Easy difficulty. This is doable by all ages/skill levels.
River – Medium difficulty. This is doable by all ages/skill levels with a higher fear-factor.
Island – Medium to hard difficulty. This has a lot of holds for all ages/skills but requires the rock climbers to push themselves a little more.
Downriver – Hardest difficulty. This has a lot of holds but is designed for more physically fit individuals and those who want to push themselves physically and mentally.

Climbing at Rafting in the Smokies
There are hand-holds that indicate the different skill levels on the sides of the wall. Brown and gray are easy levels. Green and blue are medium levels. Red, yellow, and orange are hard. Using the color levels, climbers can make their rock climb harder or easier, using the colored hand and footholds within the same climb.

After Climbing
Head to our gift shop and pick up some swag or stop by and purchase your photos. If someone in your group needs a little more adventure, we can accommodate! Don’t forget about our Ropes Challenge Course and High Elements Ropes Challenge! We can also help you plan whitewater and float trips.
