Gatlinburg Farmers Market

Rafting in the Smokies is the Real Deal!

The year 2020 stopped us from seeing the true beauty and colors of nature as we usually would every summer, but this 2021 we have changed for the better. We can rediscover gems that were probably hidden right under our noses.

Summer 2021 is upon us, displaying its warm weather and beautiful colors, and there is no better way to celebrate than visiting Gatlinburg Farmers Market. Gatlinburg, TN, is commonly known to be an entryway to the Great Smoky Mountains, and when we think about food, the first thing that comes to mind is the fresh products that would come from the rich soil of the mountain area.

Farmer Markets are locations where farmers or individual producers offer their locally grown products for sale. They are a great location to find food items that are organic, locally sourced, and good for the environment. As we know, eating healthier is one of the first steps to creating a healthy lifestyle.

Every produce, meat, and pantry item is carefully grown, crafted, and made sure it meets the quality standards to ensure the customer’s maximum satisfaction. It is crucial that what we consume meets the highest quality standards.

Gatlinburg Farmers Market is known for its fresh products, delicious bakery goods, and many family-friendly activities. Every Saturday from May 15th through mid-October, from 8:30 AM till noon, customers and visitors alike have the opportunity to walk through an extensive array of vendors offering fruits and vegetables, meats, eggs, honey, prepared foods, baked goods, artisanal products, and arts and crafts demonstrations. This year they will count on live music and performance by Barry Bianchi. Every Saturday promises a day filled with joy and new things to see and discover, no matter if you are traveling solo, with your partner, or the whole family.

Their Farmers Market website and the Facebook group have all the information you need, along with pictures and recipes to try at home with the fresh ingredients you will find at the market. Make sure to follow along and do not miss anything. Their location is at 1222 East Parkway, light 2B, across from Food City.

However you decide to spend your weekend this summer, make sure to enjoy what nature and our planet have to offer and how important it is to keep ourselves healthy and with the company of our loved ones. Let this 2021 be the year we explore and enjoy more of what our community has to offer. Make sure to make plans and invite all of your loved ones to enjoy time together while you create fun and unforgettable memories.
