Gatlinburg’s Cinco de Mayo Festival

May 5 – Gatlinburg’s Cinco de Mayo Festival and Gatlinburg Gateway Triathlon The Gatlinburg community presents the first major Hispanic event in the city at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies Plaza and No Way Jose’s Cantina. An educational theme early in the day showcases different types of Latin music, historical dress, crafts, activities and an evening of celebration highlighting the sights and sounds of the colorful culture. The fifth annual Triathlon starts at 8:15 a.m, at the Gatlinburg Community Center. Awards will be given in multiple age categories plus a mixed team relay event.
